The idea of a collaboration evolved through various conversations on how our respective work might interact.

This in turn resulted in Brian proposing a project to devise a show that fused both painting and writing. I found this idea exciting, having up to this point only considered the possibility of illustrating the text with images as opposed to a full collaboration (with all its potential repercussions !).

‘Timelapse’ has already thrown up some interesting challenges. A project that started with several notebooks of observations (including potential titles) but any paintings yet to be conceived. Avanti !
