‘On The Waterfront’ – Shad Thames, SE1

Wave after wave of tidal tourism. The shops and restaurants as warehouses. Commercial cargo. Gateway to the world. From working river to a more ornamental role. Aesthetic liquid (still dark and foreboding, but no longer dead). Anchors placed outside fine dining establishments, as though washed up and left for interpretation. Or at least a photo opportunity.
