‘Beating A Path’ – Lambeth-Putney (1800)

A well worn route, as carved out across the country by millions. A network of surfaces to negotiate, as if traversing a tactile map. The raised beds of tarmac, treacherous pot holes masked in dark, oily water and a fresh daily tide of debris thrown up (or off) the incoming/outgoing traffic. An innate sense of where to veer and what to avoid in this landscape of perpetual change.
