Heading along the towpath from Kingston. A local inhabitant sets about clearing litter from the riverbank area, armed with gloves and a refuse sack. Evidence of freshly pruned undergrowth and a native tree, standing at the water’s edge, ‘dressed’ for Christmas revealing a groundswell of communal conscience. A contemporary take on (ancient) grazing rights?
