‘A Sense Of Closure’ – East Sheen, SW14 (1655)

Walking west under darkening skies as cafes prepare to shut. A few shoppers heading home. Lights in stores as a beacon for prospective trade at the start of the working week. The end of the first month. Five minutes off five o’clock. Packing away the High Street. A 24-hour (cafe) culture yet to evolve. A sense of the Sabbath/Seventh Day (and all it might entail) still prevailing over the start of the 21st century.
