A (former?) local woman talking outside a coffee shop about the regeneration of the area – ‘I don’t know where I am half the time’. Further conversation about a relative having a flat in the vicinity – ‘…which they still rent out’. A foot (left) in the door amongst the glass and steel behemoths.

‘Corporate Colours’ – Queeenstown Road Station

Two railway workers tasked with the challenging operation of repainting a vast expanse of trackside wall (south side) in a bid to cover the mosaic of graffiti running along its length. Layers of brown paint dispensed from roller brushes slowly obscuring the ‘undercoat’ of tags. Another example of the battle for urban space.
