‘A Sound System’ – Isle of Purbeck (1615)

Gazing down the valley in the afternoon sunlight. A soundtrack of birdsong, juxtaposed with the steady clatter of a steam train (post-war dance like rhythmic exertions up a gradient) and the mournful low pitch of a ferry leaving harbour for the continent. A hybrid of the natural and modern world mixed with faithful reproduction.
