‘Gearing Up’ – Queen’s Drive, Barnes (1830)

Another ASL slowly filling up. The two lights wait. Engines ticking over and breath caught. Then the signal. A clatter of cleats like the fixing of bayonets. Another advance, to be repeated ad nauseam.
