‘A Public Service’ – Rayleigh Station (2216)

In time honoured fashion. Another dysfunctional franchise. All trains to London cancelled…until tomorrow. No signs, no announcement, no staff, no replacement bus…merely the quiet (British) way of bemused passengers (sic) wandering aimlessly around, before summoning the initiative to broker the question of sharing a taxi with strangers. A double edged sword? The rail company’s complacency and reliance on the resourceful public finding a solution (and not creating civil disorder). A certain irony on this, a Saturday night.
