‘Beneath The Surface There Was Tension’ – Lambeth North, SE1

A steely street exterior betraying the burden of 21st century urban existence. The chorus of horns (a kind of incoming warning siren as an echo of decades past) when someone falters on the asphalt conveyor belt, a double take of (friendly) recognition in a pavement exchange, or the closed off gesture of a lone soul on a bench (squaring up or bowing down to relentless forces…however small/trivial).
