‘The Silent World’ – Westminster (1745)

An antidote to the incessant rush hour soundtrack. A woman gestures with her hands and arms in a bid to hail a black cab from across the street. Further east a tourist gamely poses inside a telephone box for her friend. The photographer, turned director, choreographs a pose (via hand movements) that involves the subject standing inside the box smiling through the cold, misted panes of glass.
