‘Pillar To Post’ – Corfe Castle (1450)

A few visitors arriving in the square and trying to access one of two pubs that are open. Private functions leaving ‘no room at the inn’. A sense of slight bewilderment as they stand in the  village square contemplating the next move, on this festive, grey and darkening afternoon. The relentless rhythm of retail taken for granted until the defiant date in the calendar pulls rank, against the seemingly unstoppable tide of 24/7 trading.
