A man in shorts, and an ‘outward bound hard hat’, cheerfully addressing cyclists waiting at the lights in the driving wind and rain. ‘Are you intrigued by exploration and adventure?’ Perhaps not the ideal sales pitch to deliver for those circumventing the tube strike in the midst of a tempest at rush hour.
