‘A Brief History Of Cycling’ – Grosvenor Road, SW1 (0900)

Two cyclists at the lights. One riding a Sturmey Archer (3-speed) Raleigh, with a shopping basket attached to the handlebars. A hybrid of new and old – ‘hipster beard’, new design of helmet and old school jeans and brown shoes. The other cyclist sports the ‘contemporary clone’ apparel. A Lycra suit, garish green hi-vis boots, eyewear (sic), an array of flashing lights on clothing and rucksack. The sense of individuality these days perhaps confined to the hand built bike.
