‘An Open Gesture’ – Hungerford Bridge, SE1

Walking south and passing a man standing facing upstream, arms extended. No indication as to ‘what’s on offer’ until he quietly repeats the words ‘Free hugs’. Fairly benign in status and stance, his lack of signage (or credentials/motive) fails to elicit any public response. The new hitchhiking? Generally not something many are comfortable with in this age of ‘risk assessment’.
