‘Swinging London’ – Horse Guards Road, Westminster (1200)

A parade rehearsal. Behind the red tunics and bearskins of the granadier guards march veterans in dark suits and bowler hats,  carrying long black umbrellas. An iconic panorama for the tourists observing this spectacle. Beyond the traditional military trappings of the guards uniform, echoes of the stockbroker in his attire of choice, making his way through the city. The bucolic postcard coloured image of the ’60s metropolis.
