Standing on a pier adjacent to the OXO tower. Gazing at the outgoing tide and reflecting on early summer 1940. The small armada of ‘little ships’ slipping anchor at the PLA border and heading out in lieu of the continent. Stepping off the pier to note an advert for Suffolk ale…’Ghost Ship’.
