‘The Sands of Time’ – Cornwall Road, SE1 (1840)

Two men sitting at a street cafe table with coffees. One of them is positioned next to a large suitcase holding his tools of the trade. A spade, bunting, buckets etc…a builder, of temporary furniture, on the wharf. His work purely subject to the tidal flow of the Thames. A vanishing art on a daily basis.
