‘The Upgrade’ – Clapham Junction (1945)

Three staff walk to the end of platform 5, a trio of hi-vis tops (‘Customer Service’ & ‘Security’). A training patrol in which the middle man informs the other two of their search duties. A painted metal barrier and gate, a small Samaritans helpline sign and black ‘foam’ ‘Anti-Trespass’ mats. The days of dark suited railway company officials pacing the expanse of concrete, having long since departed.
