‘Le Grand Depart’ – Dieppe

A trawler casts off for the night shift in the channel. Crew jumping from one boat to another to act as human fulcrums in a bid to ease passage out of the harbour. Two fishermen stand at the stern of the vessel, one chewing gum, the other loosening his belt in order to relieve himself in the starboard corner. An ancient rite (offering) or a territorial display?
