‘Spring Awakening’ – Kennington Road, SE1

A stone (re)dedication to a church. ‘1941’ and ‘Enemy Action’ cutting to the quick. A resurrection in April 1959. The tablet now consigned to the corner of an academy and an adjacent cafe, the post-war rebuilding of a nation long since engulfed by the tide of a 21st century metropolitan masterplan.
