‘Production Values’ – Kennington Road, SE1

Queuing in a cafe whilst listening to the soundtrack of choice. ’70s reggae. Trying to deconstruct (mix down) elements of the song. The sliding and pouring of hi-hats, as if melted butter seeping through and across hot toast. The hindsight of realisation. How deftly placed instruments still resonate (pun optional) so strongly to cut through fashion and fad.
