A pair of army trucks turn left towards Victoria. Painted in uniform olive green and bereft of any contemporary HGV markings (safety signs for cyclists and pedestrians etc…) they pass through the city almost unnoticed and yet somewhat enigmatically standing out in the pre-rush hour traffic. Empty vessels. A glimpse at the rear confirms that these trucks are not carrying soldiers, an image that perhaps suggests troop movements in lieu of action…at least in a country on a war footing. The strange hybrid of civilian and military traffic.
