‘Little of Note’ – Lambeth North (1340)

Windswept, cold and grey. A city slowly (almost) closing down. A few shops and fewer shoppers. The optimism of traditional decorations. An eternal hope for snow expressed in the ‘winter landscapes’ displayed in windows. The notion of a white Christmas now seeming almost as archaic, at least in the metropolis, as the Victorian portrayal of Yuletide festivity.
