‘Dictated By The Past’ – SE1-SW15

A pair of eagles adorning a grand entrance, evoking an image of the Truman Brewery. The black (‘V’) stripe pattern of a runner’s lycra suggesting the naval conceit of ‘dazzle’. ‘No Idling Engines’. A thin linguistic thread with Victorian vice. Slipping down the proverbial rabbit hole…the past as frenzied brown water thrashing against a sluice gate, or the cold grey (comedown) of an empty damp room in early morning. Containers sealed as benign holding pens or quarantining the pervasive energy of former events, seemingly condemned to be repeatedly acted out in the mind.
