‘A Coat of Arms’ – Whitehall

A civil servant makes his regular exile from the treasury to smoke a cigarette. Once installed, by the foreign office, he holds his phone up to his face (as though a mirror) to continue with the latest chapter. Roll-up clasped aloft like a candle (as if reading by night) the back of his turquoise bomber jacket reveals a potentially more martial role. Emblazoned in silver – ‘UN Command Joint Security Area’.
