‘A Chinese Takeaway’ – Kennington Road, SE1

Passing a homeless man spread eagled on the steps of a Chinese restaurant. A member of staff waits patiently whilst two policemen quietly go about the business of trying to awaken him and, having pulled on a pair of blue disposable gloves, start to remove the assorted drinks lying on the steps. A half full bottle of whisky (his), a can of coke and a bottle of water (another patron/passer-by). A kind of (non) starter.

‘Toxic Merchandise’ – Millbank, SW1

A man walks past Tate Britain wearing a ‘Beijing 2008’ t-shirt. In the light of (yet more) fresh ‘olympian’ corruption now perhaps more akin to a ‘hair shirt-meets-flag of convenience’.
